If i had to choose nfl wise without to much research steve bisciotti and the mara's. 

 

My ideal owner would be hands on as far as the teams public image but allow coaches and gm to do job. Not be afraid to take chances on players who may have gotten into trouble but willing to do research and meet with them to truly figure out the circumstances. Id rather my owner be proactive when it comes to suspensions. Yes id want them to be at bat for players but if they know punishment is coming id rather the team suspend them for 2 games then the league for 6. Have his logo at center field and maybe nfl logo in both sides of the 25. Be passionate about the city and care for the team not just wanting to own it for the sake of it.

I'll stick with the man that brought football to the Carolina's. 

Name me one owner who would have stuck with a player through 3 ACL tears on the same knee.  Not many, if any.

Just remember there is a thing called the salary cap.   JR can only spend a certain amount and if I remember correctly his old/new GM buried us for years, so he spent money.  I don't think spending money just to spend money has ever won a championship. Jerry Jones and Dan Synder are perfect examples.  Before you go off about Jerry Jones.  Remember every HOF player that came when he first arrived were DRAFTED players not free agents so he didn't spend anything on them. And Dallas hasn't do crap since our inception.  I don't want JR making team decision like Jerry Jones does.  He is a owner not a GM, thank god.   While we may suffer if the coach sucks, I appreciate that he doesn't hire and fire the coach every year on a whim.   We have been fortunate to only have had 4 coaches (Capers, Seifert, Fox and Rivera) in our 20+ history.  Some teams have had 4 in 5 or 6 years. 

 

Those that bitch about JR as an owner are ungrateful SOBs.
