Are we that different then the Vikes....

Teams are loading 8 men to the box and giving extra safety help Steve Smith and daring Jake to throw other player and let them make plays....which until now Jake can't connect...

We are also run first down, run second down and run third down team....

To explain my case, I give a play as an example from yesterday...

It was a 2 receiver set with two TEs, Green Bay loaded the box and called play was so that one TE runs a simple hook and and receiver at the side of the TE had a simple slant....

So if the only safety covering the TE bites the hook to the TE, Favre should throw to the slant if the safety covers the slant to the hook...

Guess what, safety bite the hook, a perfect pass to the slant 34 yards...

I watched lots of Panthers game with Jake in, I never saw him making such a throw, Jakes big plays comes with play action, air it to Steve Smith and hopes he gets it...

In the play I described, I guess he would anyway throw to the double covered Steve Smith....

Don't get me wrong, I actually like Jake because he has a courage to air the ball and live with the consequences. Lots of QBs in NFL throws the ball outside, if they see any sort pressure or the play doesn't develop like the way they want.

Jake is always trying to make the play and I am respecting him for that but this year it is backfiring more then usual....

All I say with Favre we could have a Superbowl potential with Jake we could be still in play-off but I don't think superbowl....

Favre is making in the range of $12 Million this season (if I recollect correctly), so it's hardly the veteran minimum.

I'm waiting to see how he holds up. I don't know why, but I really don't like him, so I wouldn't mind if he drops off.

Sure he's bad ass, for about half a season. I remember watching him beat the crap out of the Bears for years. He was simply amazing. Not doubting his talent, but he only has a half a season in him these days. We'll see if the Vikes are smarter than the Jets and let him have some rest...like this week when they play the Rams.
