KJ has to be healthy to win

I agree in part that we definitely have to have a respectable run game (again).

I think it lies more in the hands of the OL who road-graded UGA's DL and LBs 3 weeks ago though.  They do that again and whoever the RB is (I think KJ will play) will do fine.  QB Stidham has been bringing it in the season's second half.  We need just enough run game for UGA to have to continue to respect it and keep the heat off of Stidham.

Yeah my fear is beating a team twice, its very difficult. I think you like said about Stidham, if him and our receivers make the catches, it'll take defenses to come out that box. On defense, the gameplan is definitely Chubb and making Fromm beat us

You would think, right?  And playing a team like UGA, you GOTTA think that.

Yet, in the history of the SEC Championship Game, there have been six "rematches".  In five of those six, the team that won the regular season match-up also won the SEC Championship Game.

1999 - Bama over Florida (regular season + SECCG)

2000 - Florida over Auburn

2003 - LSU over UGA

2004 - Auburn over Tennessee

2010 - Auburn over South Carolina

The only one that "reversed" itself was 2001 when Tennessee beat LSU in the regular season, but LSU beat Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game.

Also, neat fact (as you can see from the above): Of the six "rematches", Auburn has been involved in half (3) of them.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
