Can someone PLEASE, PLEASE give me a definitive reason WHY CAP isn't getting more touches??? I realize we have only a small sample size, but the opportunities he has gotten he's more than made the most of. He has fresh legs and size. And he's shown vast improvement this year. Do the coaches know something we don't?? Is he fumble prone, injury prone?? Does he have a bad attitude and coaches don't like him?? I just don't get it. Our run game needs all the help it can get. Heck, he can't be any worse than Stew is right now. The plays I've seen CAP is cutting on a dime.....Why not give him more touches and see what happens?? I don't see a downside to this.......Suggestions???

Because Rivera loves Jonathan Stewart

Hey, I get that coaches are loyal to perennial starters......But at what point do you look at stats and film and say, you know what.....The season is on the line, why not TRY to find an X factor???

It will take an injury before CAP starts over Stewart. And the bad thing is that even if CAP does great, he will immediately go back to the bench when Stewart is healthy again. It's time to let go, Ron

Great example.....You can tell that he is running hungry. He's running with explosiveness and has something to prove....Which is greatly lacking in run game. I really am puzzled with this one. I would think that even a JV high school coach would see this.

I think Explosiveness is the key, the way he is able to accelerate and hit the holes before defenders can fill the gap will lead to resurgence of the power run game.

CMC & CAP can make hell of duo

And in that GIF note how he protects the ball just before contact is made with him. Solid form, great vision and explosiveness.....I just don't understand. Maybe in practice he's a totally different runner, and they just don't have confidence in him....Although I seriously doubt it.

He proved it last year stepping in for the Bucs game in regular season., Coaches gotta let go of the Veteran loyalty.

J-Stew would still play an important role it's not like he would totally obsolete.

Stews hard to stop on those goalline leaps. Id like to see CAP as the guy between the 20s though. CMC should be our back on passing downs and in the slot on all other plays when applicable.

this is such basic logic but our pro coaches cant even see this much is a fugin shame

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
