No helmet for Mike Adams, but may be a vet day.

Tyler Larsen has his helmet and cleats today after being inactive Sunday (foot)

Shaq Thompson walking into practice with no helmet but with cleats on. Probably will Work on side with trainers.

Cleats and a helmet for Greg Olsen today, who left and came back into Sunday’s game after his foot got rolled up on

Looks like a vet day for Jonathan Stewart and Julius Peppers

Practice underway. Haven’t seen Trai Turner yet.

No Trai Turner. Also not practicing: Thompson, Peppers, Bersin, Stewart, Munnerlyn (who headed in after stretching).

Captain Munnerlyn stretched with the team and then went back inside. Brenton Bersin, Shaq Thompson worked on side with trainers. Trai Turner not at practice. Depth there is Amini, Moton and possibly Larsen as Emergency.

James Bradberry calls Aaron Rodgers an “elite arm” and says the secondary has to put him up with Brees in terms of looking guys off.

"You have to play your game." Mike McCarthy when asked if Aaron Rodgers needs to change the way he plays coming back from injury.

Mike McCarthy: Plan is for Rodgers to play vs. Panthers. ... Just the way he attacked it ... he couldn't do anymore than he could as far as clearing each threshold you have to to come back.

McCarthy: I think Panthers' defense is the best or one of the best we've played this year.

McCarthy: Julius Peppers is special, in so many different ways.

Captain Munnerlyn says leaving practice was not injury or illness related but that “he’s good.”

Cam on distractions: “The largest distraction might be our success late in the season.”

Cam says that Tyler Larsen brought a lot of order to the huddle, jokes that with Ryan Kalil there’s a lot of “jokes and huffing and puffing”

Cam was really excited that he’s featured in this week’s @BleacherReport #GridironHeights. Got a huge smile on his face when a reporter told him. “Really? I’m gonna have to check that out!”

Shaq Thompson says he’s still day to day with the plantar fasciitis that he’s been dealing with since college

Shaq Thompson said the time off was helpful. Feeling better. Still uncertain what his status is for this week. Said he’s been dealing with occasional foot discomfort since college.

I hate to ask, but at what point do we call Shaq a bust?

I don’t think he’s a bust per say, but just a luxury pick.

I feel like he’d excel if he was in a defined role like Thomas Davis.

But the things we ask him to do, he’s not always able to do (such as cover a WR in the slot or even match up on a TE). Not really a knock on him more on our coaching staff putting him in weird/difficult scenarios.

He’s really improved in blitzing and is dangerous off the edge, so at least he’s doing that well.

Shaq Thompson still day-to-day with plantar fascitis, RR feels confident with Colin Jones in that 'Frog' formation. Renamed 'Frog' because Jones went to TCU (the usual formation is 'Husky' for Shaq's Univ of Wash alumnus).

I don't feel confident with Colin Jones.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
