It's a tough conversation. First instinct is to ask why would Cam, or Thomas Davis, or Steve Smith actually hold any good will toward Richardson? I think it speaks to southern culture and how long these underlying mindsets have been allowed to take hold and fester. Add in the fact that Richardson is a billionaire whom almost no one several decades later has actually been able to hold him accountable for this, and here is what you get. I don't think holding Cam to the fire or any other black panthers player is going to change much of anything here. It's a societal issue that runs deep.

There are women who have forgiven their rapist. And yes, many of my friends are Liberal, Racist, Religious, Bigots, etc... I dont care about their personal lives. They know im not that way, and its cool. We still hang out, watch the game, go to a BBQ.

I and the rest of black society do not have the luxury to "not care" about racists. Its a 500 year old problem that is as old as it is because those of you in the dominant society who don't agree with your bigoted friends arent the subject of their bigotey and racism. I think you are missing the point. I said friends, not a random person with that mindset. Also, who said I have never said anything about it? I wouldnt say im in the dominant society, i work my ass off for little reward. Am I white? Yes, was it my choice? No. When you get older you tend to just deal with certain people the way they are, you show them the way, teach them, not chastise them for the way they are. The thing you have to tell yourself is... what is racist? What draws the line? One thing might not offend someone, when the other thing does. That is what society needs to work on.

You would have fit right in with those lynch mobs at the turn of the 20th century that would hang black men if they were accused of raping or sexually harassing a white woman.

If Jerry is bigoted, sexist, he has to answer for that with someone higher than Roger Goodell.
