Waaaaaayyy too early.

Yep.

wish our coach could teach this team a new thing or two...not the old recycled garbage we have been watching for years

Wait until he's been a headcoach a couple of years and/or been with the same team a couple of years.

Revisit this when he has 7 years under his belt like Fox.

Exactly, wait until McD has at least 2 rings. By then everyone will remember Fox as coach Wolf. "Oh yeah, I remember in 2003 when coach wolf brought us to the SB. What ever happened to that guy. The last I heard was that he opened up a B&B in Mrytle."

There was a really interesting interview with him when he claimed that the main thing he learned from belichick was that there was a way to beat every single team regardless of your talent.

that seems like such a simple thing but it clashes pretty strongly with whatever it seems fox's philosophy is.

One thing I like about him is he actually shows some fire and passion for the sport. But i guess that could come from being a new head coach. I get so sick of seeing coaches act like they're in a corporate business meeting. Its an emotional sport! Show some emotion dammit! Sometimes I'm surprised Fox doesn't show up in a suit and tie holding a briefcase.

Fox's philosophy is that sticking w/ his 1 formula will beat every team....if executed well. Opponents are overall irrelevant in the world of Fox.

    • it helps that Bryce and Tmac worked out a bit this off-season before the draft and are familiar with each other's game from way back.  Sure Bryce put in a good word for him to the coaching crew ahead of time That california connection goin' work, I hope
    • Sign but make it mostly incentive driven contract
    • My biggest problem is I think the players he likes don't really work in the modern NFL.  You mentioned the wr room being a lot better, is it?  It has the potential to be.   Last year when we traded up to get Legette, they said they traded up to take him specifically because he was a true X receiver.   Now this year they take TMac because they say he is and that XL was out of posisition last year.  Im not sold on Tmac yet just like I wasn't sold on XL last year.  If TMac isn't a lot better than last XL was last season then that's back to back first rounders in one position that would still need a huge amount of work.  Hopefully Tmac is what everyone seems to think he will be, I'm just not so sure, but them declaring XL was a true X receiver after the draft last year and what they're saying now should at least give you pause about their receivers evaluation because it means they definitely made a mistake one way or another.
