Do I have to much faith in Cam?

I almost threw my beer mug threw my TV when Rivera and Shula let Derek Anderson and his disturbing propensity for interceptions walk in cold off the sideline for one play and immediately throw the ball when all that moron Shula wants Cam to do inside the 10-yd line is run QB draws.

When I thought I couldn't despise those two coaches any more than I already do, they went and proved me wrong again.

It was 3rd and 5 which is an obvious passing down. What did you want them to do, concede the TD and just play for a FG?

This same horrible core went 7 for 7 on on target passes yesterday. Problem was there was only 7 on target passes

The receiver corps isn't elite meaning Cam will continue to have to force balls into tighter windows which is difficult at this level, even for more accurate QBs.  The running attack is non-existent so no support there.  Toss in Cam having to run and take a pounding, and in my opinion, has a compounded negative effect over the course of the game that greatly impacts his throwing accuracy.

I still don't get what you're after, the Panthers don't have a better option and he's been the best QB the team's ever had.  Either you're gonna shut the hell up and be a ride or die Cam fan.....or just go pull for another team.  We get it, Cam can be inconsistent but drumming up crazy ass stats in a very nuanced game where stats don't tell the entire story is just hater-aid.   I mean your post are a royal waste of time and add no value whatsoever.  Cam fanboys, the franchise leadership and coaches will know when it's time to pull the plug on Cam.  It ain't that time.

He’ll be much better Sunday. The offense will once again be under pressure to score to stay ahead or keep up (preferably ahead). He will need to hit a deep threat early and often to back them up off the line and allow the run game to breathe. Funch has to step up big time.

The greatest amount of pressure THIS game will be on the defense to constantly make adjustments and hide coverages and throw in wrinkles to keep Sean Payton and Brees off balance.

They must hit Brees, not just move him, hit him. If not he will stay in his zone and pick you apart.

Their running backs are a problem and will have to be contained. None of that will be easy. My focus going forward will be on defense.

Cam will be fine though. I’m expecting MVP Cam this game.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
