Sadly the small, quick guys get hurt easier if someone catches them. It's the risk. Even Smitty, who was as tough as a nickel steak, suffered through some broken bones and who knows how many undiagnosed concussions. It's a rough game on the little guys.

Actually, Panthers.com article was a bit misleading.  Gano won a player of the week award in 2015, I'm almost certain*.  But this is the first award for a returner since 2011.

*Ah, just realized Gano won ST player of the month. Dec 2015.
