There is one thing that may well have changed regarding the GM search.

With Jerry Richardson in charge (and assuming that Marty Hurney actually is an interim GM) it was expected that guys like Trent Kirchener and Ryan Cowden would be preferred because of their familiarity with the Panthers, and it's possible they still might.

But with Richardson soon to be out of the picture, new ownership might not be so narrow in their search patterns.
