Panthers have so many needs for Hurney to fill.

#1, a receiver whos 40 isn't measured on the Mayan Calendar and doesn't glass bones and paper skin.  That would be nice

#2 Secondary, can't keep the same bullshit we have back there, need someone who will compete with worley and need to get safety help

#3 Youth movement at DE, Peppers isn't gonna be fresh for much longer.

On number 1 ... I'm not as down on Curtis Samuel as some here. Guy wasn't healthy from the start. An entire offseason in a pro system and not training for the combine should help.

If he and Byrd can stay healthy, there are two deep threats right there.

The wide receiver position has to be addressed either through free agency or the draft. Especially if the rumors of Shula being extended are true. Next to receiver the defensive backs are probably the weakest position group, so adding talent at safety or cornerback would make an immediate impact. Then it gets more murky. Defensive end, offensive tackle, running back, and even tight end could all be of use. Though defensive ends and tackles would be the most prudent positions to invest into, as they're both difficult to find.

I don't think it's possible for Hurney to fill this many holes, especially with the cap room being limited. If he can find a legitimate receiving threat, and sure up the secondary he'll have done his job.

So many holes on this team going into 2018

What should be priority #1 as far as player personnel is concerned?

TE/RB

Troy Fumgali & Nick Chubb

The old saying of killing 2 birds with one stone, getting another TE would also help solve the receiving problem and make the OT situation better.

Adding a playmaking WR is a must. Ideally it would be through free agency. Sammy Watkins or hell I'd even take Eric Decker at this point.

Can we not just place the tag on Norwell? Get another year out of him and then we can worry about replacing him and the Kalil's (Ryan probably doesn't have but 2 good years left).

Add a safety, TE and pass rusher in the first 3 rounds.

Need to draft ball hawk safety to similar Malik Hooker

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
