Norv Turner can turn Christian McCaffrey into Panthers’ ‘premiere back’

I pray Cam embraces this opportunity to step up his game to levels we've never seen.

What in his history would suggest otherwise?

Even last year he stepped up and carried the run game while recovering from shoulder surgery.

Cam doing his part is obligatory at this point.

We still need a WR regardless of Cam or Norv.

Speaking for myself, I have expected better and consistent play from Cam Newton.

I'm also of the opinion that too many fans let him off easy. Well that's how it always goes with the starting quarterback.

No argument with the first sentence. We all should expect that from him.

But who is letting him off easy? The man led our team in rushing after we drafted an RB 8th overall, and he was still able to lead us to a winning record and a playoff berth. What other starting QB in the modern NFL is or has been expected to do that? Proper perspective is needed with a QB like Cam.

Nobody expects that. And yet you want to talk about proper perspective? Proper perspective is at this point in Cam's career he should be a much better and consistent passer than he is. If he was the passer he should be, the team wouldn't have to rely on his legs.

I mention this, because he is a quarterback.

You aren't trying to argue in good faith. You're shitposting.

How can you expect a qb with one WR that didn’t go undrafted to succed?

lol how drunk are you?

I'm sober. I love how you don't want your QB to be even an average passer. It's that, of you're afraid to talk about it, cause you redirect, and start talking about things Cam does that doesn't have anything to do with his passing game. And you call me drunk?

You do realize Cam had shoulder surgery right and spent most of the time in between games not pushing it right?

You do realize that QB play is dependent on other things right?

Yup, typical red.

What a waste.

don't waste your time. anything short of "CAM IS PERFECT GOAT 10X BETTER THAN BRADY" won't cut it for some of these people. Cam right now is easily top 10. He was hands down THE BEST in 2015. The past two years he's dropped to much closer to 10th best QB. Still great overall but he should be much better. Shula and Dorsey gone is the biggest step in the right direction we could make and I'm ecstatic that it happened. Hopefully Norv and Scott are the right pair to right the ship though.
