JP wants two more years and both sides are close.  Sticking issue is if they DO win it next year he gets paid really big and doesn't have to come back.  Tina Becker heavily involved.

Group is sad that they couldn't pull it off this year but return went better than he could have hoped.

This defense is old. Old at points that need to be fixed now. I'm worried more for Cam than Peps bank account at this point.

Don't be dumb dude.. if he does this It's a blessing he is bestowing on us.. Giving us time to get the young DE's up to speed while giving his knowledge of the game to them.. Is a gift that will keep giving for years down the road.. IF GMan was smarter he would have done the same thing with Gross and Smitty... And fuging Norman for that matter..

      Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.

      Get off my lawn 😡 Reid coached Vick for a while. It helped, but ultimately Vick was still Vick. One of the maxims I swore by for years was to never sign a free agent QB from Reid's system because they never looked the same anywhere else. Would that apply to Mahomes? 🤔 Difficult to say. I might lean no, but it applied to McNabb. Doubt that theory ever gets a true test, though.
