Adam Schefter thinks we SHOULD, not will, trade for Brady Quinn.

and Fasani from standford in the 5th round in 2002. my bad. 2 garbage QBs. they waited 3 years and before they attempted to draft in the 4th round. and i still question their ability to draft a franchise QB, and until they do so, i have every reason to. sure its the hardest position to find, but it gets done. and sometimes you have to take chances, something we hardly ever do, which is why we don't have a franchise QB. im fine with Delhomme, i still want the organization to draft a QB that can start in this league.

I think we should go after Brady Quinn. Trade away Jake if the salary cap is preventing him from coming here. Start Matt Moore. See how Quinn does in the practices. He may/maynot be ready. Look at Braylon Edwards monday night. Wow what a performance. If that was Cleveland playing then Edwards may have droped every ball. I think Cleveland is just jinxed for some reason. I have never had any faith in Manjini so i seen no hope for Cleveland. Quinn could come here and be a star or a bust. The main thing is that the panthers organization would be giving us fans a little hope for something to just maybe happen for the better. From what i see at this position we suck with no likelyhood of getting any better in the near future.

Well, if they were to make it to another year. They know they need a QB. And they know the fan base is losing patience with them. So, if they don't draft a QB they will lose any support they might still have next year.

And they should care what the fans think because ....??

Fox had said years ago, 2003 maybe, that he doesn't believe in "developing" QB's. He'd rather sign an experienced QB. Why should that change now? To please the fans? Oh, pluheeeeze.

To keep his job? Thats right he has done lost it from standing pat in the offseason i would have to say. I think he will be here till the end of the season. He has till the end of the season to perform a miracle for this team to keep it.

I think Quinn would do well in Carolina. From what I've seen, many Browns find a second win and a second life (Edwards, Dilfer, etc) when they get out of the shithole that is Ohio. And for a fourth rounder? I definitely think it is worth the risk. At least then our backup wouldn't be a former baseball player....

I live 30 minutes south of Cleveland. Blah.

You and I agree on that. I wish they had taken Aaron Rodgers, but they didn't. I think Matt Flynn would have been a good pick, he beat out Brian Brohm in Green Bay and could become a solid starter if Rodgers doesn't pan out.

There are a lot of quarterbacks coming out this year, and I hope they finally take a chance on one. I think they will too, just because for the first time since they got Jake circumstances warrant it.

    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
    • It's a step up in competition as well. The gap in athletic skill is narrowed from what was faced at the college level.
