You believed there were "back channel conversations" going on setting up the sale to people that were already in place.

Neither Bruton nor Marcus Smith is even officially signed on at this point, and the team he'd be signing on to looks like they have zero shot at owning the team.

The other stuff at this point is still just rumor, and David Tepper is still considered the front runner.

So basically...no.

The story says that there are people outside the US who have "asked questions about the sale".  That doesn't mean anybody's made a bid.  The most definitive thing said there was that people were "talking about it".  That's basically a whole lot of nothin'.

And how exactly does any of this fit into your narrative that the team was basically already sold in principle back before the season even ended?
