This seems to be good.. is this good?

Tony Gonzalez - 63 Games (4.1 receptions and 48 yards per game) 24 TDs

Jason Witten - 63 Games (4 catches and 45 yards per game) 14 TDs

Rob Gronkowski - 50 Games (4.5 receptions and 65 yards per game) 42 TDs <---- HOLY COW

Kellen Winslow - 39 Games (5.1 receptions and 67 yards per game) 21 TDs

Eric Ebron - 56 Games (3.3 receptions, 37 yards per game) 11 TDs

In order of impressive seasons through age 24:

1. Rob Gronkowski (Easily the best statistics)

2. Kellen Winslow (Truly revolutionized the position as a weapon)

3. Tony Gonzalez (Might have the best career from start to finish of any tight end ever)

4. Jason Witten (Steady, but also a phenomenal blocker)

5. Eric Ebron (A VERY distant 5th place....)

One of these things is not like the others.....

I ran into Bill Voth at Queen City Q yesterday before the NCAA tournament and he talked like Ebron was pretty much a done deal.

Oh no here comes the rumors crap again. Be careful man we have had alot of people's sources and rumors go wrong.

Ebron is trying to see if there is a team desperate enough to give him big money before he takes a reasonable offer to be the #2 TE on the Panthers.

That's the thing he is visiting colts/Patriots and both of them would be te #2.

Well its not my rumor. Maybe he is just guessing but that is what he told me. Also spoke about the Breeland failed physical and the shitty shape our secondary is currently in. Needing a cb and two safeties.

Thanks for this.  I shared that I thought based off his tweet after his visit with us that he must've been in a positive mood.  I really hope he joins us soon...  super excited for his addition if it works out!

I really hope it does. Voth seemed to feel good about it happening.

......................And he just signed a 3 year deal with the Colts

The Colts are one of the most (if not the most) dysfunctional franchise in the NFL, so it would make sense that they would be the ones to sign him.

    • I'd love to have Eli as our QB. He was a proven baller in the playoffs, and still a legit franchise QB who was better than the majority of the league in the regular season. Honestly the Giants didn't build many great teams around him. Put him in a beneficial situation like Belichick, Reid, Tomlin, etc. run and he could've won more than 2 SBs if you ask me. He was on a lot of bad teams, like really bad teams, throughout his career.   Hell, swap him in for Rivers in the mid-late aughts and I bet he gets the Chargers a SB. Still think that whole draft situation was bullshit and lost respect for Eli there, but whatever.
    • Yeah but if you are talking about something like an extremely rarely used or needed play like a QB sneak, it's already a pretty off the rails argument. That doesn't factor in enough to W's and L's to be something that is particularly relevant.  If you want to talk overall arm strength, field vision, footwork, consistency, athleticism, etc on Bryce, those are all valid critiques of his game and why he hasn't been successful. But the oddball obsessions about pretty meaningless aspects are a bit bizarre. QB sneaks? Not enough 40+ yard passes? Workout regimen?? Guys....there is ample stuff to criticize without this kind of nonsense.
    • Im not saying he should, but its one more play that's off the table. Do you think the eagles would be as good without the QB sneak?
