I find it kind of intriguing that both Navarro and Felix Sabates have business relationships with Chip Ganassi, yet Sabates said that Navarro was the only one of the major bidders that wouldn't return his call.

Quite possibly more intriguing though: That Navarro and Jerry Richardson have mutual friends.

Someone else had mentioned that on here before.

Technically I suppose you could say that Richardson and David Tepper have mutual friends too (i.e. the Rooneys).

Navarro hires capable people and trusts them to do the job. Richardson is the same way when it comes to running the football team, for the most part allowing the general manager and head coach to handle football decisions while he focused on business and league matters.

I'm sold. I was not a fan of Navarro but reading that he lets the experts do their jobs makes me want to pitch in my peasant money for his bid

Our buddy Roaring Riot has pointed out that the NFL can be somewhat controlling when it comes to the release of information. It makes me wonder if a pro Navarro article is a sign of things to come.

That's all speculation, of course. Maybe I just need to loosen my tinfoil.

Based on what little we know of these potential owners, Navarro would be my choice.

Seems to be a decent human being, who is decisive and surrounds himself with subject matter experts.  He specifically moved his family to the Carolinas because he likes the area. Navarro also likes the Panthers open air stadium.  

What is JR waiting for?

Jerry Richardson was about as accessible as Greta Garbo (look her up, young people). Having someone who would do more interviews and be more accessible to fans would likely be viewed as a big positive.

Everything I've read about him makes me think he hires a consultant to help with reorganization. Might even be our old friend Ernie Accorsi again, given that he grew up a Giants fan.

Whether you like it or not, Ron Rivera is a coaching commodity. Even Sabates realized that.
