By several measures, Panthers 2017 rookie class worst in NFL

I certainly love what CMC, Samuel, Armah and Moton and now Elder too are showing.   I hope they continue to really show the progress we've been seeing in camp and the 1st 2 preseason games.

We may end up with a HUGE influx of youth on the team.

Moore, Jackson, Thomas, Gaulden, Carter, Haynes from 2018

Moton, Samuel, Armah and Elder from 2017, maybe Hall too...

Add in that Shaq and Funchess are both still only 24...

Concerns about the age of our team are quickly fading.  Though DE and secondary are still of course works in progress.  We need those young guys in particular to step up.

In closing, I'll try to do better in future stats posts at trying to explain exactly what I'm analyzing.  Obviously on this one I left it very open to misinterpretation about what I was or was not saying about the 2017 class.  Thankfully one year of small contribution may turn out to be nothing at all in terms of the 2017 rookies' development and we'll see their talent on the field this year.

Lol none of those players besides maybe Short is a star.

It's not "IS" as start that matters. There's  pro-bowlers in there.

Not every GM gets to pick the QB with the number 1 pick and a linebacker with the 9 pick.

The highest DG ever picked was 8 and we got CMC with that....now don't pick on my Mac....he was a huge part of the offense last year and will be going forward.  Used right, we will see great things.
