That might be a factor, but imo, the primary factor was they were afraid of the non football attention signing him would bring. They were more afraid of losing ticket and jersey sales.   Doesn't mean it was or was not collusion.  But collusion will be incredibly difficult to prove without some hard evidence or a few witnesses.

That may very well be true what is in bold. There could of been repercussions to this signing but so far so good.

I never said all the time if you had actually read the comment and his 3 concussions can make an impact in signing him and teams will see that and think is it worth the risk then not offer a contract. Panthers were willing to take this risk and sign him when no other team even gave him a chance and to help the team get in the win column and hopefully it will pay off.

Dude, Sam Shields missed like an entire year or two for a concussion and got signed.

Reid had 3 concussions in 2 years you don't think that's a little concerning? that's not the only reason he wasn't singed but it had to have some to do with it. you make a concussion sound like a pulled hammy or something. hell even Reid himself thought about just retiring because of them.

It’s definitely concerning. But he was signed to a incentive based one year 1-2 m dollar contract. I’ll take that all day long.

exactly, and I hope for the best for him and us. If he plays all year and preforms as expected and no major injuries. we got a hell of a deal.
