Why isn't Taylor Moton playing left tackle?

Screw it. Let's blow this thing up. lol

Let's make our Oline even worse. Just to move Moton over to LT.

You think that makes our O-Line worse?

Oy.

Tell me, Hub. is there anything whatsoever you would change about the team right now or are they doing everything in the best way possible?

You are not paying attention. Clark is worse at RT. WORSE. That would make our line WORSE. Some of us are not willing to throw in the towel just yet.

Let Moton go to LT when Daryl returns. Until then. We are what we are.

He's worse at LT too.

And you're seriously overemphasizing this notion that he'd be beyond terrible at right tackle. You have no clue whether that's true or not.

Cam technically didn't get sacked on the 2nd down play of the final series.

That doesn't exactly make the result acceptable.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the pressure that play was a result of a free LB blitzer coming around on Cam's right side and not on Clark or was that 3rd down?

Yes, yes I do. Clark is serviceable at LT. Sorry you don't approve.

I am not answering that last question. It has no bearing on this discussion.

Clark was constantly getting beat. What game were you watching?

So then let's put Clark at RT where he is supposedly worse so he can beat all the time there and put Moton at LT where he is less comfortable. How does that solve anything at all. Clark is still on the field. For a guy, we found on the street he is doing fine.

No, it wasn't. They didn't blitz from Clark's side. He just got out of his stance so slow that the rusher basically already had a step on him. Clark wound up looking like a flailing puppet.

Where in the world are we getting this narrative that Moton isn't comfortable at left tackle?

If you're citing Rivera, I can pretty well guarantee that's bulls--t.

Riiiiight.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Ron Rivera "good enough is all we need" approach, illustrated perfectly.

There was a LB blitz on either 2nd or 3rd where the LB who started in front of Clark came around free on Moton's side. I'll see if I can find it. It was a really nice blitz design.

I think play calling has insulated our OL issues and made us think they're playing better than they actually are. We've only attempted 13 passes of 20+ yards. I think we're not focusing on throwing the ball deep much because we know the OL will struggle to sustain their blocks long enough.

Yupperz. Getting the ball out quicker has helped Clark keep Cam safe. There are a few things that need to get fixed. But this is one that may not have a resolution. Or at least not until Daryl gets back. Clark, without help, is just not trustworthy over there on those longer passes.
