but, we need to see him in the same backfield as cmc otherwise telegraphing what they are doing. 

I swear to god, every time Newton goes under center, they hand off  to McCaffrey to go off left tackle.  They tried it again Sunday and the Eagles were all over it for a bit loss

do they not think other teams look for tendencies...?

Have to think they are 100% interested in CMC being the feature back and developing him as quickly as possible. To that end, why play a one year stop gap player?

Becasue CJ is a better power runner. Everyteam uses multiple back. Do you see Alvin Kamara and Ingram having issues?

They don't need to pad CMC stats for making him a top 10 pick.
