We've lost SEVEN games by a touchdown or less

the only thing consistent about this team are the uncanny breakdowns of play during crucial moments... we are finding ways to lose. thats ***** coaching.  Dont hate me but i consider NO one of the most prolific offenses, constantly attacking and exploiting. How in the fk did our defense shut them out of the endzone. was Ron running the D last night?  I agree that Riv's brand of football is the reason...no margin for error it seems. If the ball bounces our way in those games we lost and were able to capitalize on certain situations...we could easily only have 2 losses...

Frankly, the spread for most games in the NFL is below 7 points, but to your point, the average margin for the Panthers is less than one point.  Here is an interesting chart.

We are 6-8, but frankly, were it not for a 63-yard FG and a Philly meltdown (Short deflected a Wentz pass to a wide open WR) we could easily be 4-10 right now.

Thats what happens when you have a gutless, spineless, limp dick, braindead, stuck-in-the-80s coach...  your games are decided upon a razor's edge.  It's why his coaching is outdated...  a single score decides whether he is a good coach or a bad coach, and he can't win in consecutive seasons, so what does that tell you?  Are the wins the norm, or are the losses the aberration?  If almost all of your games are decided by a single score, and you're hovering around .500 for your career besides one season your team caught lightning in a bottle and played out of their minds, i'd say that's a good sign that you have very little influence over your team's outcomes...

Which means, you suck.

He protects leads,  even when the lead belongs to the other team.  We are built in a manner where we cannot hold a lead or come from behind.  Were it not for a 63 yard FG and an Eagles meltdown, we are 4-10.

SO I agree

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
