Another fine for Eric Reid?

The NFL wants Reid to play the bad guy in their story book. He won't kneel so he's an outlaw terrible guy. Amiright? Keep fining the guy to make him out to be a bad guy, terrible guy. We've got documents to show how bad the guy is, see?!

It's the same role they wanted for Cam coming out. Them and ESPN were waiting for Cam to slip and he never did, model citizen. They do continue their anti-Cam policy at times with critical no-calls but the target is somewhat off his back now they've got Eric in their sites.

The NFL agendas can be clear to those with eyes to see it. Heineke got a roughing the passer call that I doubted Cam would have gotten. I also can't tell the difference between the hit Clowney put on Foles and the hit Watt put on Cam, almost identical aside from Watt targeting the bum shoulder with his helmet.

If I just bought the team I'd have to have a conversation with the NFL about their clear agendas as they pertain to my franchise.

At least he hit somebody instead of watching them run past him into the end zone

Or pull a Captain Munnerlyn and have your WR beat you every single play up to and including the one where he literally escorted him into the endzone.

    • One of his handful of good games... If he can ever get to a consistently high level, then he'd change minds. As it is... Meh.
    • People are also jumping to the conclusion that Darnold would have figured it out here. I very much disagree. He needed a place where he could be a backup for a while with no pressure. So all the pining over him was pointless. Highly unlikely he would do anything but continue to fail had he stayed here. The one that got away was Baker. He was not as bad as he seemed here. He was always a good player but we were a two bit, middle of the road college program grasping at straws. Had we invested the time in Baker that we have done for Bryce, history would have been quite a bit different. To what end, who knows? Doesn't matter. There are a million hindsight stories that are very unkind to this franchise. There is no one that is more significant than the other. It is what it is.
    • He’s a serviceable starter for us that doesn’t cost much. The reason he doesn’t cost much is that he has flaws, one of which appears to be catching the ball.  It would be good to have a better corner opposite JC but he’s not at the top of the list when it comes to people we need to upgrade.
