Beason On Jake...

From the beloved John Beason

“Do I still trust him? Absolutely,” linebacker Jon Beason. “At the end of the day, I’d like to think my teammates trust me, and the reason they trust me is because of what I have done. And the reason we trust Jake is because of what he has done. So at the end of the day, people have bad days, but you have to go back and evaluate the film. And that’s going to be the true answer to the question and our problems.”

One has to think that if by some miracle that Jake can come out and play sharp and beat the Cardinals that it can be the turning point for him this season.

I think he still has to get "that" monkey off his back. I dont want to see him go out like this.

He is just using the Fox talking points after his radio appearance. We will not know what the team is really thinking, unless that player doesn't want to be on the team anymore. But they are human beings and I'm sure a lot of them are feeling the way we do.

Well- I think he gets at least 1 half of the game. If he can keep it competitive then he stays in.

He throws 2 INTS its Matt Moore time for the rest of the season.

I think this is your most logical answer to our QB problems.

Jake deserves the chance to get that monkey off his back, and he gets that chance against the team that started it all.

Does anyone honestly believe, that Jake is gonna redeem himself against Arizona.

There is no way, no how.

So why continue to put the rest of the team through this bullshit.

you cant say that. No one knows.

Now it makes sense to speculate that Jake will suck, but it just might be the game he needs.

+ this season is a wash anyways- let Jake go down trying. If he sucks, then bring in Moore.

Jake doesn't "deserve" a damn thing. NFL football games aren't kindergarten tee ball games. They're products of business decisions. Jake Delhomme isn't getting paid to be John Fox's friend. He's there to win games. He can't do that, so it's time to move to someone that has the potential to do what Jake can't.

I think you then are setting Matt Moore up for failure, if Jake throws 2 picks then we are getting blown out. Then we are forced to throw Matt Moore in there while being forced to pass. Thats a big mistake IMO.

Matt needs to be practicing with the Starters and have the gameplan designed for him. He will also need to gain confidence if he is to have some success.

Matt needs to get more reps with the 1's so they can get the timing down.

AK, i understand where you are going with this. But, I mean if Jake is not going to preform well agasint the teams we played the last three weeks, two of them home games. I feel confident he isnt going to "break out" again Zona.

I know it would be fun to see Jake stick it to them, but it would hurt worse to watch him suck it up again.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
