I think it's false to assume that benching Jake means we have officially entered a rebuilding phase... did the Patriots or Cowboys enter a rebuilding phase when they benched Bledsoe in favor of Brady or Romo? I'm not saying we have a Brady or Romo on the bench right now - but sometimes benching the starter can lead to big things that nobody saw coming.

I really have a hard time imagining that either Moore or Feely could do that much worse than Jake at this point, Jake is just about at rock bottom.

It's not rebuilding when we're replacing one player. The Bucs are rebuilding, they've completely changed schemes on both sides of the ball. The lions are rebuilding, they're putting together brand new pieces.

QB is the most replaceable position on the team right now. David Carr didn't have our running game, and it didn't work then. We have all the pieces in set, just need someone that is capable to take the reigns and steer it home.

These douche bags have mismanaged every event given them with the exception of the gimees in the draft. Nobody should have given Duhlomme a contract for any fricken reason unless he wins a superbowl this year, Peppers should have walked, thats just the easy business side of it. Its eveident how peppers has this team financially hamstrung....no WR to pull heat off Smitty.... squanderd opportunity to get Cutler... we have 5-8 people on this team that do not contribute sh!t for what ever reason. We need to get shrewd, lean and mean.

I'm just not seeing anything from Jake to keep him starting. Sure he could go in a play lights out 3 TD's no INT's, and we would all celebrate, but lets get real, the way he's been playing this year, that is just not going to happen.

He's had six games to get out of his funk, a bye week to compose himself, and he has only gotten worse. He needs to sit, and get his composure back, and if he has the will he can make a run at starter next season competing against whoever comes in.

But Delhomme's been given his chance, and he has not taken it.. 6 times. It's time to give Moore a chance to prove himself.

If there is ANYONE who wants to play their best football this Sunday, its Jake Delhomme.

So what, let him. If he totally screws up then the writing is on the wall and we all know he is done for good.

But if he plays lights out you better damn well believe it could be a turning point and the last 9 games look very winnable.

...I mean what the hell is your thought process that makes u thing Duhlomme is a starter? his accurate throws? His ability to move around in the pocket? Well I do agree with you, that I believe he will play, but for your sake and the Panthers, I hope he plays lights out.
