Moore or Feeley?

If Fox makes a move, which of the 2 does he play? Moore is the popular choice and has more experience in the system but if the FO trusted him they would have not put McCown on IR . They would have waited for him to recover and used Moore as their backup if needed. By putting McCown on IR and signing Feeley, they did not give Moore a vote of confidence.

For those citing Moore as the number 2 on the depth chart, wasn't Jake the number 3 quarterback when he came in for Peete with Weinke as the number 2. There is precedence.

Feeley also has had a month to learn the system. Plus what we ran yesterday from a passing point of view looked a lot like a WCO with short passes to the receivers and running backs out of the backfield.

Personally I don't have a clue who has looked better in practice this year so far. I wonder if they will give them both reps and see who looks the best and announce it later in the week. Or will they just go with the popular choice and start Moore??

Given that this season is pretty much done....4 games back in the division....I would vote for Moore.

Feeley is an older vet and is not in the Panthers future plans.

Moore is young and unknown. WE are not sure what we have in him. I would rather suck this season and find out that Moore is not the answer, rather than limp to 7-9 or 6-10 with Feeley and still not have a clue about Moore.

Just my opinion.

I have mentioned this in another thread when Feeley first joined the team.

There is a good possibility of a change right now and the reason for that change is to win football games. I think Feely is the best choice. I know it makes sense to see what Moore really has but I think at this time to throw what may be considered the "future" of the franchise into a season-saving role then it may be too much end up cracking him mentally.

Feeley on the other hand is not expected to do very much and may have more motivation than anybody to extend his career on a team that has a great O-line, great defense and great RB's. I would love to see him manage the game and mentor Moore. Jake has nothing to teach anybody about game management anymore IMO.

I would be very happy to see AJ start or take over this week.

I think 10-6 could maybe get a wildcard. If coach fox would start Matt from here out I could see us pushing for the last wc spot cause all that is holding us back is solid qb play.the defense has gotten its act together plus add that in with our running game I think its a chance we could push for 10-6.

This season its like watching your golf game. You know the worst part of your game is the short game. One day everything is going right in the short game but everything else is off...

Watch whoever we start at QB this week play lights out, hell i'll even through in the special teams in too. But then watch our defense get worked all over the field.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
