I would definitely include Kalil in your list. And also have Minter, Stewart, and Charles Johnson as maybes.

Dammit.  Got me.  Yeah, I agree with all those as considerations, and I'm embarrassed they slipped my mind initially...  Personally, I think Kalil and Minter should be locks.  CJ and Stew are also great ambassadors, but werent the leaders that Kalil and Minter were.

I guess in my mind, the best candidates have to be either recognized as among the best in the league during their tenure at some point and/or career Panthers known as team leaders that were on the cusp of elite.

It is really all going to depend on how exclusive they want to make this Hall of Honor. I have stated multiple times that I think they should allow all Panther greats in and celebrate the history of this franchise. with that said, they should still build statues and retire numbers of the elite (Peppers and Smith). I think the following players should be honored.

1. Michael Bates

2. Jake Delhomme

3. Chris Gamble

4. Kevin Greene

5. Jordan Gross

6. Charles Johnson

7. Ryan Kalil

8. John Kasay

9. Sam Mills - Retired Number & Statue

10. Mike Minter

11. Muhsin Muhammad

12. Julius Peppers - Retired Number & Statue

13. Mike Rucker

14. Steve Smith -  Retired Number & Statue

15. Jonathan Stewart

16. Wesley Walls

The only other current players I would consider are then:

17. Thomas Davis - Retired Number & Statue

18. Luke Kuechly - Retired Number & Statue

19. Cam Newton - Retired Number & Statue

20. Greg Olsen

By the time all these players are honored and retired, we would have recognized 20 players in around 35 years. I believe this is a reasonable number. We would also have statues and retired numbers of 6 players in which I believe 3 (Peppers, Smith, and Luke) will be definite Hall of Famers and 2 (Mills and Davis) who represent the Keep Pounding mantra. I personally believe that Cam Newton is a Hall of Famer, but am not as confident of him getting in as the previously mentioned 3.
