Who would say no

This wont happen, but just thought of a interesting scenario

Hornets and Pacers

Pacers- trade 18th pick, and Domantas Sabonis

Hornets- trade 12th Pick, Monk, and MKG

Sabonis was a stud last year avg 14 and 9 playing 24 min per game.  Shooting at a High pct. And a solid defender.  Problem, he backs up Myles Turner who the Pacers are going to heavily invest in.  MKG gives them a expiring contract.  Monk gives them a young backup SG after losing Tyreke Evans to suspension.  The 12th pick will position them to land a Naz Little to go with Victor O, and Turner.

Hornets get a Big that fits what they want in the system (see the interest in Gasol at trade dealine and coach's background in the spurs tree)  18th pick can still put them in position to land one of the guys theyve worked out like the VT SG.

The Pacers hang up the phone because it would be a great deal for Charlotte.

They're not trading Sabonis to essentially move up 6 spots.  Doubt they care about MKG and his cap hit, and Monk is an undersized "shooter" who just shot 33% from 3 this year and 39% from the field. Really doubt Monk has much trade value at all to most teams.  And MKG's expiring deal probably means nothing to a team like Indiana who won't be in the mix for free agents anyway besides their own....not to mention they've already locked up Oladipo and Turner for the next few years and need cap space NOW to only re-sign their own, better players.

First off.  The Wizards are not going to compete with Wall out.  And they are Dire need for a Center (Dwight Howard was their Center last year)

With that being said, which team says no

Wizards- Bacon/Monk, Zeller, #12

Hornets- Beal

Would give Hornets another Star to pair with Kemba

Would give the Wizards the opportunity to get 2 of Reddish, Little, Clark, Doumbouya, Porter Jr to groom until Wall is back

    • Look, I've been pounding on the Canales shouldn't be calling the offensive plays thing since last year. He's first off, not very versatile and makes Ron Rivera look like a master of mid-game adjustments. Also, because I think you really, really need to be calling the offensive plays from the booth with a better view of the whole field.  A coach on the field cannot grasp how the opposing sideline WR is doing in coverage while also checking the two receivers on his side, plus keep up with how the line is doing and if the RB is in the groove. Heck, for the line alone he doesn't have the best view of where the RB is going to see success and how to best exploit it. Hence Rico saying, Yo coach, keep running this.  Still, all these things in there, no matter how hard I'm banging on that drum, I can't let it drown out my joy in getting one of those rare Ws. Even coaches can learn and grow from them. I sure hope he will.
    • I fully understand the questioning of Dave and BY, just the timing of your concerns is my problem. NFL is ultra hard to pull off the perfect game. In all my years Ive never seen a HC have the perfect game plan and have great play call after great play call.  Tmac has helped in every game, honestly more than I thought he was going to show. It does look like he was in fact the reason to trade AT and allow Tamc to feast on his targets. I have re-watched the wins, I have seen Tmac get red zone looks. Brother, he's about the 80-90% of passing attack. Dave is young inexperienced HC and he's learning on the job, hope he improves along with BYs confidence.    Its going to be alllllll right, trust me as your co-pilot.
    • You cannot hate his character, but he is holding the team back. There is so much we can't do because of his limitations. It just is what it is
