Moore played better in all three of his starts in 2007 than Delhomme has played in all six of his starts this year. Moore's worst game was against Dallas and he played better against them than Delhomme did in his best game against Washington.

You're exactly right about the money thing. Benching Jake would be an admission that they stupidly blew away $20 million on a guy that essentially can no longer play football and was under contract for this season anyway. That won't do much for Fox/Hurney's job prospects after this season.

What we're looking at is his accuracy, decision making, how he fooled the defense by looking at Smith and throwing to Rosario, pocket presence, and delivery all of which looks better than Jake.

cat daddy are you serious. your hero delhomme has 15 to to 4 tds. that is crazy. do you really think he is the best choice? what if he comes out and throws 3 more picks and we lose. will you call for him to start again? how much more can the team take?

My point in starting the thread wasn't to say Moore is the best QB we ever had but to say, hey, this guy can play. He CAN make the throws and he DID win us some games against NFL teams and coaches.

I wish the kid would get in there and do good, but I doubt thats the case. The team keeps bringing in quarterbacks, so that tells you they have no confidence in him. They see him everyday in practice, and for the team to say Jake gives the best chance to win, tells me he is not looking as good as Jake in practice.

Didn't say he was that great. He is just not horrible, unlike Delhomme.
