Matt Moore video 2007

That is funny! Coming in to play for an injured player in a game, and what he does doesn't count, wow!

I'll make a wager with you. If Fox somehow someway starts Moore after the blowout loss we experience with Jake under center at AZ this Sunday, I will bet you that Moore has a better passer rating than Jake, and a way better TD-INT ratio over the same amount of games. Loser leaves the Huddle. Anyone a Notary?

I agree with that 100%, cause they won't throw the ball hardly at all.

Jake is the worst Quarterback in the NFL this year. So unless the NFL adds a couple of teams, and Matt Moore drops to 34th as opposed to Jake's 32nd, Matt can't do any worse.

Cmon now, Jamarcus Russell is the worst, maybe Derek Anderson, but yea he is definitly down there. It's funny as I remeber seeing threads about wanting to trade for Anderson before the season.

I give Jake one more chance vs the team that sent him into that diving spiral to bring some life back into the qb position. If not, Moore should get the start.

The more I consider it, the more I am willing to let Jake have his chance in this game... but I would keep him on a tight leash. If he makes more than one big mistake, he's out. Maybe playing this team will right his head, win or lose... but I do not know that it is his head alone causing his poor play. I hope for his sake, and for the team's, that he does well.

If he does not, and if Matt Moore does not start our next game... I would be astonished.

Maybe thats the problem why we are losing then. Every week we got starters out, so the backups don't play hard cause they are not suppose to. I understand now.

You contradict yourself a lot, you know? It wasn't long ago you discounted Moores performance becuase of playing against the backups of the bucs.

Watch the whole games, not 6 highlights. Two were against the Seahawks, who had their worst game of the season, the other 4 against Tampa Bay's backups. Watch the whole entire games and you'll see why he's not starting.

Um, in those 2 games he was nominated for rookie of the week... agreed some of those throws he lucked out on, but in his career his td to interception ratio is 3:3, more than what jake can say for this season

    • The framing continues to be if you disagree with this top 10 play making….its then somehow spun as denying his improvement or hating. if you take Bryce’s career and exclude his last 2 starts……there really is no objective argument that isn’t a bottom tier starter to date. Is yeah, it’s cherry picking, recency bias and his surprising inability improvement driving it into a bit of silliness.  Literally nothing argued here except the top 10 stuff is overkill.   But it’s also the same time of year when folks can get bashed for saying Frank is a bad hire, Fitterer sucks and should be fired with Rhule, Ben McAdoo was a joke hire for a staff that forced into rejects, Rhule doesn’t know what he is doing and clearly exposed when reporters got into camp, the Sam/Baker comp and not picking one is dumb, and on and on.  Lot of frankly conservative takes are spun as wild hate this time of year.
    • Doing a little digging and it looks like PFF didn't penalize him for the XL drop during that Chiefs game.  I also think the moral of the story is most teams aren't chunking it 20 plus yards for completions multiple times every game.  Hit a couple of those and you can be one of the top "deep" ball passers that week.
    • Of course he needs to put together a full season and there is no reason to suggest he won't. His progress last year was great and unless you think he has already reached his ceiling he should continue to get better. That is why folks are excited for the first time in years. Who knows what will happen but to have a qb who finished the year playing excellently and is only going into his 3rd year, you need to be excited. At least until we have reason to think differently.
