Relative intelligence

And I thought this was about some gossip you acquired from a relative on inside panther dealings.

Well, I did talk about a relative and her intelligence in the OP.

But no. And none of our resident insiders are related to me.

(at least not as far as I know)

Yeah, overarching plans like destroying a solid positional group and say we're planning for the future. At the same time, wasting prime years of CMC and company.

This thread is just another Gettleman love fest.

wait, how many "whoever" careers are we wasting? cuz we seem to waste a lot of them... when does the old bullshit not fly anymore?  Tepper needs to move on now, while Cam can come back and do something for the Carolina Panthers. Because if not, it's time to move on from Tugboat Ronny and a kicker that can't make 25y fgs.

I've read up on him. He's definitely not Rivera.

That's fair, and I'm going to concede off the bat that you know more about him than I do. I just got scared stiff by the one article I read about him, which basically gave the impression that he's a good leader and locker room builder but "not an Xs and Os guy" which is something I never want to hear about a coach. Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I actually prefer a big picture thinker over an X's and O's guy as a head coach. The coordinators need to be the X's and O's guys.

If you want to go deeper into the scenario, imagine Campbell as the head coach picking up a fired Dan Quinn as his defensive coordinator.

I don't excuse the missed field goal.

But good grief, seven chances to get into the end zone from within the five yard line, and we keep running the same things that have already failed over and over again?

I wanna hear somebody try to blame that on analytics!

We have been absolutely woeful inside the 10 yard line this year on offense (and defense for that matter).  I believe both of these issues can be directly tied to our terrible line play.  Goal to go has always been about which line can blow the other off the ball.  We've failed at both.

As someone pointed out earlier, we're just three plays away from being 8-3.

Ron is a good coach, he’s not great. If given really good pieces he can win, he can’t win with just average talent because he doesn’t know how to utilize players to get the best out of them.

Marty is an ok GM, that’s it. Not one other team offered him a job except for the Panthers and we can thank JR for that. Whatever year Tepper decides to move on from him it will be his last as a GM.
