Teams interested in Marvin William's expiring contract

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic (subscription required), several teams are monitoring the availability of Williams as we progress through the regular season.

They should be able to get an asset of some kind in exchange for Williams. They may have to take on another bad contract in the process, but that’s not a big deal. As long as they get a first or second round draft pick in exchange for Williams, then it will be a job well done.

^^ I can't disagree more with the idea above. No more bad long term contracts. We are finally going to be rid of Marvin, MKG, Biz, Zeller and Batum's terrible contract over the next 2 years and I don't want to add anything on top of them for a crap shoot draft pick - especially not a 2nd rounder.. and no one is giving up a 1st rounder for Marvin without giving us back something horrendous.. and even if it were a 1st rounder - a playoff team will be late in the 1st round. OBVIOUSLY - I would need to see any deal before I disregard it, but I can't imagine we would truly walk away the winner of any trade with Marvin as the centerpiece.

With that in mind - Here is an article with 5 different Trade Ideas, lmao:

We a bad team bad contracts mean nothing, we are not a destination for players  its way way better to horde picks.

I guess it depends.  Should we take a contract that last two years...no big deal.  We have Batum that long and will be no good next year anyway.  21-22 before we actually could do anything I figure.  Now Any contract longer than that and multiple solid assets better be coming our way.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
