No, unfortunately Lasik does not fix stupid at this time.

I'd go ahead and get a consultation to make sure you are a good candidate. Some people are not.

Additionally, waiting for it will basically lessen the benefits to an extent. Not dealing with glasses or contacts is actually a pretty big financial boost.

I am super glad that I did it, even though I had to have touch up because they goofed it up the first time. Ended up with 20/13 vision.

do you see rings around lights at night like after swimming a long time?  or any of the other little things i've read about?  and yeah, my glasses are about $400 a pop so i could see it paying for itself in a few years

i got bad stigmatism any idea if im poo out of luck?

No, nor did I get the dry eyes that people complain about sometimes. I had some dryness issues for about 6 weeks but that was it.

The touch up process was pretty unpleasant but that was because they forgot to give me anesthesia for part of the process. I have never heard of that happening to anyone else, however. 

The only odd "side effect" that took some adjusting to as someone who had glasses from a young age......getting particles(dust, dirt, etc) in your eyes. I didn't realize how often that happens to people without glasses.

I had a mild astigmatism and it wasn't an issue. IIRC, and I may be wrong, that may not make you a good candidate.

having gotten glasses later in life the dust not getting in my eyes was a big bonus.  it also seems like, and i'm not sure, that i get sick less because i'm not rubbing or sticking my finger in my eyes.   thanks for the info!

You have to quantify it by knowing how many diopters of cylinder you have and then seeing if any Lasik Lasers are approved to treat that many diopters of cylinder.   Ask your OD for both your DS and DC (Diopters of Sphere and Diopters of Cylinder) and then call a ophthalmologist and ask if the equipment he uses allows treatment for those diopters.  

There are Doctors that will do "off label" procedures and maybe use two treatments combined to get past the FDA approved limits for single treatment.  This sounds worse than it is.   Think about any medicine or procedure that is prescribed to children - obviously these are ALL off label procedures because minors aren't included in FDA trials.
