Probably also a feeling out process for the coaching staff as well. This is a brand new group of players and coaches, it will be interesting to see how the team responds to the live fire.

Coach speak would have just been: “we’ll rotate guys as needed”.

and the results were:  they rotated about like normal

heavy on the D-line, not so much everywhere else, outside of formation changes and injuries

Seriously people, quit taking everything coaches say so literally.

As much as Rivera had his faults were going to miss his defenses san last season of course.

I'm cautious about Snow and this defense. Of course we're inexperienced on that side of the ball and it will have growing pains. But some things seemed a bit amateurish, the Raiders had their heavy formation in at one point on an obvious running down and we only have 6 defenders in the box and of course we get gashed. Hopefully those are just hiccups that will get corrected going forward.
