seems to be our official second-half montra...

...our SOP when we have even the slightest of leads...

...we have mastered that concept very well.

Im tired of it.

we get a lead - and instead of being brutal, merciless and playing to *win* by ruthlessly scoring no matter the lead or being behind. (see AFC)

no...

we have to play this lame "go out there and don't lose" way...not "go out there and win at all costs" kind of way.

for what?

another season ending injury?

another player on IR?

great - there goes the 2021 draft.

just another pretty candle in this shitcake of a season.

that was a great first half though...great, I have not enjoyed a first half more this season (expcept maybe last week...but most of that was shock). I imagine a lot of folks will be studying that tape in the next few weeks.

We have failed - playing "not to lose" How many of those games do we lose? You just can't play that way in the NFL against the best teams in the game. I would have thought Fox would have figured that out by now...but after 7.5 years if he hasn't learned that, he never will. Foxball is a failure and needs to be forgotten and dumped into the trash heap.

Thats a little far, sure hes not perfect but he is still a damn good coach. He is the most successful in our Franchises history and up until this season was considered by many to be in the top 6 or 7 coaches in the league. He is done here but I still think he has something to bring to a team that has a losing mentality. Took our team from 1-15 to SB in two seasons. Redskins new coach John Fox.

Define playing not to lose.

Im gonna take a bit of a leap and assume you are talking about trying to run the ball more. Im not sure if you noticed but 25 of our 30 passing attempts came in the second half. 19 of those before we relinquished the lead. Its gonna be hard to convince me that we lost this game because we were too conservative after we had the lead.

Somebody needs to call in to Panther Talk and ask why we continue to play "not to lose" and why we just shut down our gameplan and go straight to run, run, run, after getting a 14+ point lead. Another good question would be why the gameplan is scaled back with Delhomme at quarterback. The answers will probably be a bunch of Foxism BS, but at least he'll know the fans are concerned (or not :mad:)

That is one of those sucker stats. Dinking and dunking is still conservative. How many of those passes were over 20 yards? 2-3 maybe?

How many of Bree's were?? Even the first touchdown was a short 8 yard seam pass he busted for a TD. Most quarterbacks throw a lot more short passes than they do 40 or 50 yard bombs.

      We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy

      similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.

      So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
