Oh man, ESPN thinks we are nothing compared to all the other teams in the league, we could go 15-1 and they probably still think we'll lose the divisional playoff games in the same year... We get no respect whatsoever from the critics, but its ok because most of them are washed up and old football players or guys who always wanted to be football players and could not because they sucked....

One person does not equal ESPN.

this may shock you but when you have someone on your most watched show come out and talk he speaks for your company, plus ESPN wants the Falcons to win the division and that's why they got are rooting against us, what could be a better story for them then the Falcons winning the division this season.

My point is that there will be some analyst on ESPN that pick us, and some that will pick the Saints. And fwiw, I understand the pick. We are 3-4 on the road and coming off of a tough loss. The Saints have only lost once at home. Its natural that some will pick them. I think we will win, but its not a sure thing.

I seriously doubt the network really cares who wins, but they probably think the Falcons are a more interesting story with all the problems they have had over the last couple of years.

I actually like Trent Dilfer as an analyst and the man knows his NFL but I can't see the Saints winnning this game.

Their lockers are packed up and ready to go and the only thing they will care about is getting Brees the passing record. I think because of that they won't use Pierre Thomas like they should. Teams that have nothing to play for in the last week of the season rarely show up to play and I am not sure why this game would be any different. They are thinking about that family trip to the Caribean they are taking first thing Monday morning and I don't blame them. As long as the Panthers are ready for an air attack (and I am sure they will be) this game should not be an issue.

in the dome, on a fast track, with a struggling secondary and banged up defensive line, against a QB going for a huge record and a team with absolutely nothing to play for......

yeah, we're going down.

The Saints are more banged up than we are. If we come out like we did against the Giants and get an early lead, the Saints will likely give up since they don't have anything to play for anyway.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
