Second half...how many wins?

Matt Foley

Miami game is on 96 hours rest, I don't like that at all.

I figure the rest of the schedule will go about like this:

Atlanta Falcons - W (They are clearly better but I just get the feeling we are due for a strange unexpected win.)

Miami Dolphins - L

@NY Jets - L (I really don't see any good reason we SHOULDN'T win this game but....)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - W (Seriously, I know Freeman looked pretty good but...it's Tampa.)

@New England Patriots - L

Minnesota Vikings - L (I friggin' can't stand the "new" Brett Farve...I want this win so bad.)

@NY Giants - L (Oddly enough, if the Giants struggles continue, we might actually win this one.)

New Orleans Saints - L (We should have beat them, we CAN beat them....but we won't.)

So, I have us as 2-6 from here on out. As a side note, love the video Jbro. Fedor is such a beast.

wtf are you talking about? how they hell is our situation worse than carolinas? we have a 2nd round quarterback who sat behind chad pennington his rookie year (the runner up to mvp last year) rocket arm, started all 4 years at michigan, and is in only his 2nd year getting better and better every week.......

you have a aging, garbage interception machine with no one good behind him.....how the hell can you even figure that?!?

Then why wasn't he starting over Pennington? Tell me the three teams he has beaten.

cause he was a rookie and pennington lead us to a 11-5 record last year, a afc east division title, comeback player of the year, and 2nd place for mvp voting....are you fuging serious?

like i said earlier he has shitty WRs......but he beat the jets twice (who you will lose to) and the bills 38-10 (who you already lost to)

so tell me again how our qb situation is worse than yours?

If your quarteback is so good, why do you run the wildcat so much? Because Henning doesn't take chances with him, that's why. I'll take Delhomme over Henne any day right now. And Delhomme will have a better game than Henne when they play.

we ran the wildcat with pennington last season who had 3700 yards passing, 19 tds and 7 ints.......

we dont run the wildcat because of poor QB play. we run it cause it works, and we bring a new look to defenses which forces teams to prepare for it, in-turn taking away from precious time to prepare for our base offense.

if you take delhomme right now over henne....you are not only retarded, but a pathetic excuse for a football fan (and gigantic homer) because ill take a 24 yr old with promise, who is already on pace to completley out perform jake this season.....any day of the week. but keep delhomme, i cant wait to see my team increase their interception total on thursday :D

I'm sorry, but it's become evident that you have no idea what you're talking about. Delhomme is the worst starting quarterback in the league right now, next to maybe JaMarcus Russell or Derek Anderson.

How anyone could take any QB on our roster over ANY QB on the Dolphins roster is beyond me.

Edit: Pun also has a huge point that Pennington demolished Jake as a QB by comparison last year, and that's when the wildcat was running rampant and getting all the news.

Fact is Pennington is a fine QB.

What are you, 15 years old? I didn't insult you, but I can start if you'd like.

I think Carolina will beat Miami, and Jake will play better than Henne. I wouldn't rank Henne in the top 10 of AFC quarterbacks yet. Sorry if that gets your aqua and orange panties in a wad, prick.

Negative. I'd take any QB over Jake right now. Mainly because I have seen what Jake can do and it's not going to change. Any change, this season, is better than what we have. JMO

sorry for the insults.

not ranking henne in the top 10 is fine, he has 5 starts....but jake is literally bottom 3 in the entire league....so i dont see how you take him over henne. most of your panther fan friends would agree.

No he's not. Take opening week out of the equation and I'd bet anything he's rated higher than half the QBs in the NFC. He played well (yes, well) at Atlanta, Arizona and New Orleans. He's had two terrible games in Philly and Buffalo that have destroyed his passer rating.

But hey, take a second year kid who Henning barely trusts if you must. We'll see when the teams play, won't we?

dont understand how that would be the deciding factor. if henne had a receiver half as good as steve smith, 10 more years of experience, and the running game of deangelo williams and jonathan stewart....then it would be comparable. next thursday will be hennes 7th start ever. and here are his starting receivers to throw to

davone bess - undrafted free agent

greg camarillo- undrafted free agent

brian hartline- rookie 4th round pick from ohio state

ted ginn jr- 9th overall bust from 2 seasons ago, who drops everything and runs some of the most atrocious routes you will ever lay eyes on (and has been benched the last 2 games)

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
