Why the Panthers Will Win on Sunday.

We do this every week, but this week I feel like we have the better matchups. Wouldn't it be fair to say the the Saints offense is better than the falcons? Outside of 2 big plays (blown coverage and a missed tackle), the Panthers defense held to. Technically, had Williams not fumble, we may be having a different discussion. But lets focus on the next game. The Panthers Defense will shut down the Falcons. The Panthers will once again run the ball all day, and the Falcons defense will fail, because they aren't as good on defense as the Saints, or us for that matter. Jake Delhomme plays his best games against the Falcons, just like earlier this year. Jake will surprise some people on Sunday, Panthers win 27-10.

We are just as good as, if not better than Atlanta. I just worry about the energy they'll have, after the emotional let down in New Orleans. I mean, they win the next four, they're 7-5 going into a possible upset game in New England. But they have to get over the loss to the Saints, and re-focus every inch of energy into this game against the Falcons. Here's hoping they can do just that.

I think we can win. But honestly I could see something similar to last week happening.

Our superior rush offense dominates them in the first half, defense holds them in check. Then once ATL adjusts after half time, Delhomme will hold the offense back, we won't be able to score, thus letting the defense down as usual. Then eventually the defense gets tired. And you guys know the rest.

As many times as I've been to Charlotte for this game, I've never been fully confident that the Falcons would win. This game is no different. Williams and Stewart worry me big time. I think Fox will try and ram the ball down our throats to take some of the heat off Delhomme.

I think we will stop carolina's rushing duo and Turner will run wild because TD is not there to stop him which is a huge loss for the panthers. I think Ryan will be better this game, I just hope we get after the quarterback like we did against Washington.

    • Yeah I'm still not sure about Canales' play calling but I'll give him another season. Still can't quite figure out why you think Young won't work out. His numbers with Theilen are as good as any QB Theien's ever had - including the three games he has started with Rogers this year. Cokers' numbers are as good as Theilens and he is an UDFA and TMac is in the run for ORTY with Young as his QB. Young's throwing more accurately now (from 21.5% in 23 to 16.5% this year) and he has shown he can make the throws in clutch moments. If you take into account he was saddled with XL, Chark, Mingo and Johnson for receivers at one point, had a coaching staff his first year that didn't want him and a current coach who is suspect at play calling, I'm not sure he has been as bad as people here say. I know he has had terrible moments/games but most qb's still on their rookie contract will.  Anyway, had to give my weekly BY plug. Guess I thought this was the perfect time lol.
    • He missed a lot of time. Was slow getting back up to speed. And we have an offense that is not exactly WR friendly so his targets were low.  How many targets does anyone get when you have 120 yards passing, 54 yards passing, 160 yards, most of the time? It probably took the time it needed to take.
    • The 5th year option jus gives them a little more time to make their decision and figure out the position going forward.  The idea that it means hes def gonna get a extension is asinine.
