If you think Teddy has a weak arm and checks down too much you will not like Ramsey. Hes a good college player but nothing more than a backup project in the NFL. This is from somebody who watched every one of his games at Indiana. There is a reason they let him go to Northwestern as his throwing ability is limited.

Thank you for the insight. Did you happen to see him play at Northwestern this past season? If so, was there any improvement from the time at Indiana?

I saw him a little bit but it didn't change my opinion much. He is a smart QB that can run with very limited  throwing ability. I don't think he can make NFL throws. He will probably make a great coach if he decided to do that because he is very intelligent and makes good decisions but he is not better than any QB on the Panthers current roster including Grier.

I have seen him play. He's definitely a smart kid and he's got some skills. I dunno if he can be a franchise QB, but he's no slouch either. He'll make the league, but will likely be as a backup. Strikes me as the type to hold a clipboard a few years then move into coaching, but there's always a chance he gets a shot and develops. Just depends on his drive and determination.

Most folks would see him as a game manager, but he can make deep throws and does on occasion. NW asked him to not turn it over and manage the offense because their defense was the cornerstone of their team.

      I am not sure it should be a ‘sell out to go to the SB’ season. And hope they don’t.  At the same time I was thinking you absolutely must find out if you want to pay for Bryce or not. That means putting it on him. No protecting and trying to hide weaknesses with the run game and a super conservative calls.  So I wish they would do it and find out, win or lose, 2026. No more developing. Time to do it. Let’s see once and for all.

      My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
