Some Giants fans saying we don't have the "it" factor

to beat them in the playoffs. It's like they're forgetting how much people doubted them last year.

Honestly, it's like they don't think any teams out there can beat them when you read some of their threads.

Giants fan here (Dont hurt me)...

I think the general concensus from Giants country is that our two teams are pretty evenly matched and play the same type of game. I dont really think there are that many giants fans except for the extreme few who think we are unbeatable...

Anybody who thinks the Giants are unbeatable needs to realize that without a run game you are nothing, and that has been exposed in the past couple weeks.

Giants won in overtime only because mother nature decided that she wanted to watch the game longer. We had you guys almost beat in the last mins of the game. If we didnt have the it factor it would never have been a game. GiantDefense thank you for having some sense

You could say the same for every other team in the NFL in terms of running the football. There are not many teams that are going to win games in January without running the football successfully...

As far as a few of you saying we think we are unbeatable that simply is not true. There are a few giants fans (like in all fan bases) that say we are unbeatable and are going to win every game from now until the superbowl by 2 touchdowns or more but that simply is not true for the fan base as a whole. I do however think we are the team to beat heading into the playoffs.

On the same note, I gave Casey's kick 50/50 based on what Ive seen at the Meodowlands over the years and lucky for us we came up on the good end of it this time around. Two yards more to the right and I think the Panthers are the team to beat going into the playoffs.

Hopefully we get to play one more game and see who really is the better team when the "it" factor comes into play.

I have been talking to Giants fans now ever since I was on my way home from watching the game at a friends, until last night.

All I get from them is "Panthers fans gotta get over it, you can't beat the Gmen"

Tho, one said he was afraid, and doesn't wanna rematch, the rest of them are just very strong is state'n they don't think the Panthers are good enough to even get to a rematch.

I give the Giants credit. They did what they did... and luck on all sides played a factor... bouncing muffed punts, Rookie's knock'n down INT's at the Giants 30, the Kick that went wide with 4 seconds to go.

The Panthers got lucky with a few missed INT's the Giants D could have had, knock'n the ball out at the 1 yard line.

Tuck was Sick, Maake was out... we can get that list going too...

Bottom line is, it came down to who got lucky enough to get "the break", and the Giants got it.

I currently am hope'n for a rematch... but we need to get there first. but... so do they!

a win on Sunday gives the Panthers #2, and then whyo knows... the Giants could lose in their first game and the NFCCG could still be here (if I recall)

But, either way... That game itself (if/when it happens) could very well be better than the superbowl itself.

We'll just have to way an see, and see who does "it".

We can't just blame it on bad luck my friend. The Giants won in OT because we let them stick around by only scoring 7 points in the second half of the game.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
