Williams Questionable.

Running back DeAngelo Williams (knee) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with Atlanta. Williams practiced on a limited basis Thursday and didn't practice at all Wednesday. He doesn't appear to be walking with a limp, however

Here

lets hope they are just being cautious.

At what point last week did he hurt his knee?

If he is out I guess you find out if Stewarts achilles can hold up for a tough division game. Probalby can but I am interested to know if he can stack some weeks together with alot of production.

So... should I bench 34 in fantasy this week? My only back up is Julius Jones. Or TJ Houz in the WR/RB slot. =(

according to rotoworld, williams is a game time decision. he can walk with no problem, but apparently has issues running. since they have him as questionable, i think they will simply be cautious. the most that will happen is stewart will "start"...simply put, the roles will reverse. stewart will get more touches than williams.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
