This team went from exciting to nothing but a mirage and has thoroughly pissed me off...

FWIW, I was watching The Jump yesterday, and Matt Barnes and RJ both said they think we'll beat the Pacers and raved about us, and the BPI has us at a 51% chance to win.  But, I don't think national guys saw how bad we looked down the stretch here either.  Again, I'm hoping for the best, but I was extremely discouraged by what I've seen over the last month.

They were horrible down the stretch. We almost beat the Knicks the 4th place team and then turn around and just get beat like a drum by the Pacers? The Pacers?  They were not even thinking playoffs a week ago. Just sad.  I see other NBA teams playing their whole roster, why don't the Hornets? What is the benefit of not playing certain players? I guess that's why I am not a coach.

It's disappointing but I can't be mad at this season.  LaMelo, Rozier, Bridges, McDaniels, Monk: these guys in particular found a new gear this season and have elevated Charlotte into a tough and promising squad. It's almost poetic how what's holding us back the most are the relics from Hornets past. Once we move fully past them this new era is ready to rumble with the best of them. They turned the culture around this year and set the foundation for what comes next

They've been completely gassed for awhile now so I think this is for the best. They need rest and the late lotto pick more an early playoff exit rn.

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
