There have been Super Bowls where someone could say a single play might have lost the game. But "the fumble" in SB50 is not even remotely an example of such an instance. It's knuckledragger mentality to suggest so. I would argue the team seemingly getting caught up in the limelight of the week leading up to the game itself and the glaring stubborn lack of adjustments doomed the 2015 Panthers. The league itself and the refs also clearly did not want the Panthers winning either. People just have to reconcile with that and the result. It's been a decade now. -

Am I? Maybe I’m just using a little more logic than blaming one play against the player carrying our offense? 13 Qb hits and 6 sacks, this isn’t including the pressures Cam avoided getting hit with his legs. Do you think that MAYBE those 13 plus plays affected the game more than a fumbled (caused by pressure) that wasn’t recovered by our QB? What’s Ron’s record without Cam as his primary QB? 26-40-1.
