I’m still fuging pissed at JR for bending over and letting that happen. $14M in cap space down the drain because of that nonsense.

It was a idiotic overreaction like this years jab protocols. Either say to the non jab players get the shot or forfet the season. Or just keep the same covid protocols in place like they should be doing anyway and forget about the non jab players. Either way punishing an entire team whenever they feel like it is the most absurd thing I've heard of. Completely stupid.

Watson has done the same...

Well you'll get no argument out of me about that. But unless Watson is formally charged and sentenced he will get more leeway as a young franchise quarterback than Hardy did as a late round defensive end.

Greg Hardy was never formally charged and his case was dismissed because his GF lied. So...

Hardy had a second chance though. But he ended up creating a public rift in the locker room and getting arrested for cocaine possession 🤷‍♂️

Still doesn't explain the double standard because that happened when he was in Dallas. Watson should be on the list until all court proceedings are finished like Hardy.

I agree there is a double standard and Watson should be on the exempt list by now. But you have to remember that went down around the same time as the Ray Rice elevator footage was all over the internet. That was all in one summer. The league needed to make an example and timing doomed Hardy's career.

Yeah my point is the NFL is inconsistent as hell and loves to ruine careers in the process.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
