 That is true but Tepper like most NFL owners makes most of his money from another business, so owning an NFL football team is usually a part-time job.

I feel that all the good NFL owners delegate to a team President, who is responsible for running the team on a day-to-day basis. However, there are still things the owner has to take a “hands-on” approach to: Strategic planning.
