Are people really STILL defending the decision to stick with Jake going into '09?

Yes...yes it is

What? Get that "mediocre/scared to take chances" mentality out of here. WTF is wrong with you slurpers? Like it or not, we ARE rebuilding next year. We had two years to "win now" and we didn't. Anybody who is happy that we're stuck with Jake needs to get their brain fixed...or watch the Eagles, Bills, Bucs, and last year playoff games.

Delhomme is not our best option. Jeff Fisher said Kerry Collins was his team's best option to win, but now we see their team is rallying behind Vince Young.

Vince Young is a very different situation. He was a top five draft choice, loaded with talent and potential, planned on being the future, and already started a season and took his team to the playoffs.

If Moore gets a start this season through injury or just looking to see how he can play once we get eliminated from the playoffs and he plays better than Jake has on average this season, I'm going to make it my mission to bump up every. single. thread. that had people do nothing but bash Moore. It's going to be a lot of fun. I just hope Moore will get a start somehow before the season's over.

And knowing you, you will praise Moore and criticize everyone else. never mind that for Moore to play well he will need the quarterback coach to work with him to improve what has been a bad 2 years since his short stint in 2007..Then you will blow up Davidson without realizing that Davidson will be installing a gameplan to take advantage of his strengths and skills. Just the kind of foolish ignorant logic that you use most of the time. Funny how you started off this thread talking about all the foolish posters without recognizing that the emperor has no clothes.

Funny how he bashes anybody who questions Moore's ability and yet loads his posts with a bunch of "IF". He's just hoping. Most of us would not be upset IF Moore were to be the real deal but it isn't likely.

If Moore is worse than current Delhomme, then it will be Fox's fault for letting this scrub stay on the team so long without any competition.

Mccown? Bannez? Sure maybe not great competiton, but is there such a thing as great third string qb competion? Pretty much every third string QB sucks when put in a whole game.

I guess you're right. But alot of people don't see Moore as a #3. I personally think he sucks as well. Maybe not as bad as current Delhomme, but he still sucks. But still, if he is worse than Delhomme is now...that says alot.

Who knows why people still want Jake as our QB for 2010...Jake is done, its nothing to be ashamed of, he had a nice run and most qbs sart to phase out at this age. Not everyone can be a Favre. Get him out of here and let's move on already. If getting a new QB playing with our talent is the only change this conservative team makes next year I will be completely satisfied...

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
