We cleared a ton of cap space for Watson, Baker, etc.  Drafting our QB has us sitting on a pile of cash (31 million) with only a few holes.  The second wave of FA usually starts after the draft.  Will we make any noteworthy splashes?  What about vets like Hughes, Hicks, or Clowney?  Guys who could provide on the field leadership while filling out the DL nicely.

Can’t we also roll over the extra cap space? I’m not entirely sure about all the rules of the salary cap, but rolling over some might be a good idea. We restructured several contracts to keep our options open so we may need the space in the upcoming years.

We can, and that may be part of the plan at this point.

Hicks is awesome when he’s in the field and he’s beloved in the locker room but it’s got to the at a lower price point. I understand we have the cap but he’s had injury issues and he’s on the wrong side of 30. I don’t want the other two and if we are going to spend at this point give us some more help on offense along the line or one of the WRs on a one year prove it deal.
