DEs

Another big need that will be addressed

our biggest need on defense.  And in the big needs category along with QB, WR, TE. And possibly LB.

im still not convinced they won’t go QB rd 1.  So going to look at some guys with our 2nd pick and beyond.

this one is a little tricky for me scouting wise.  Because there is a good amount of talent in this class.  But weeding through, a bulk of them are more “edge rushers” and less DEs (Andre Carter is one of them, good player but is a standup edge Lb).  Meaning a lot of standup rushers or smaller weak side guys.  So finding one that fits us as a SDE on the other side of Burns will be slightly more difficult.

one guy I’m really falling for and is rising up the board is Lukas Van Ness.  He been starting to mock him in rd 2 us more and more.

Dude is Raw, but has tools you gets excited for and a even better Motor.
He’s a bigger body so fits well for us opposite of Burns.  He’s played inside and out.

trouble is we don't know what scheme we'll be running next year,  because we don't have our coaching staff next.  In my mocks I've been taking 4-3 guys, and we have a good chance of one of the top guys falling to 9.

seems to be more choices for the 3-4 guys, as usual.  The big rushers are hard to find.  You take them first if you have a QB....if we don't spend our first on a QB, I'd take  SDE if available, otherwise, WR.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
