Smart teams do their homework on the guys. There's nothing they do already know about them.

Granted, but they can only find out what's known. I get the impression nobody knew about this until today, not just the NFL.

The arrest warrant was just issued.

The arrest warrant sure. That only happened today.  The things he's being accused of was certainly known.

My hunch, everyone in the top 15 had their PI's calling that DA's office and police dept...bet they have sources in each of the big school cities departments.

Not saying they knew, but I bet they had heard there was more to the story.

I'm guessing all teams already knew about this prior to today. There's no secrets these guys can hide from these teams and their investigators.

I believe the arrest warrant is brand new.  Incident was late Jan but it appears to be filed after the investigation was completed.  Yikes.

That's what I said to Scot. The warrant is the only thing that just popped up. The incident that led to it is already known.

The incident was known. I'm not sure his part in it was though since they're now saying he fled the scene and lied about not being there.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
