Don't get overly excited... it was the 1-10 Bucs

look at the stats. we pretty much got outplayed the entire game except for key int's in the red zone. if we pull that crap in the remaining schedule, we're going to lose out the rest of the season.

they more than doubled our passing yards and put up 315 against us. only had 3 yards less rushing but averaged over a yard more per carry!

they had 22 first downs to our 15.

if we play this poor next week against the pats in new england.......

we won why? great defensive plays at key moments plus winning the turnover battle.

but again..... this was against the worst team in the league.

but i am sure there will be those of us to declare moore the savior and boast that we're on our way to a superbowl.

Moore played the way a Carolina QB in a Fox offense needs to.....doesn't matter if it was Tampa. Moore is a better option than Jake...that is all that matters.

but just like Godfrey starting again....none of that matters to Fox.

You can't say, "Without the redzone INTs we lose." We don't know what happens if the Bucs convert some of those redzone possessions into points. We may get blown out, or we may get a win. Fox calls plays based on the score. Yes, he loves to run draws on 3rd down, but we're trailing we'd be likely to see more throws.

Moore played well enough to win. He'll have to play better in subsequent games, but this was a good way to get him warmed up. He throws to multiple targets, made some nice passes, got the ball to a couple players deep. He made decent reads, and only had a couple bad throws. Yeah, it is just the Bucks, but how can you say he's not an upgrade over Jake? Look at Jake's game against TB...

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
